RSS demands strict action in Ram Temple donation embezzlement case
The RSS has expressed strong disapproval over alleged misuse of donations at Ayodhya's Ram Temple, calling for a thorough investigation. The organisation's leadership has urged the Hindu community to remain alert against attempts to tarnish their reputation.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has reacted sharply to allegations of donation misappropriation at the Ayodhya Ram Temple, voicing serious concern and demanding decisive action against those responsible.
RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale made the organisation's position clear, stating that the RSS is deeply pained and angered by the reported embezzlement. He called upon authorities to pursue the matter with utmost rigour and ensure that culprits face appropriate consequences. Hosabale stressed that such incidents undermine the sanctity of religious institutions and the trust placed in them by millions of devotees across the country.
The RSS leadership has also appealed to the Hindu community to remain cautious and vigilant during this period. Hosabale warned that certain groups might attempt to exploit this situation to damage the reputation of the RSS and the broader Hindu movement. He urged followers to distinguish between the wrongdoings of individuals and the larger mission of the organisation, emphasising that isolated incidents should not be used to discredit the entire community.
While condemning the alleged misuse of funds, the RSS has expressed support for the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the matter. The organisation believes that a transparent and thorough investigation is essential to uncover the truth and restore public confidence. Hosabale stressed the importance of implementing robust administrative systems and oversight mechanisms at the temple to prevent such occurrences in the future.
The RSS has further emphasised that temple management must prioritise transparency and accountability in all financial dealings. According to Hosabale, maintaining the faith and trust of devotees should be the paramount concern for any religious institution. He called for strengthened governance frameworks and regular audits to ensure that every rupee donated by believers is utilised appropriately for religious and charitable purposes.
The statement reflects the RSS's attempt to balance accountability with safeguarding its public image during a sensitive period. The organisation's backing of the SIT investigation signals its confidence in the official probe while simultaneously seeking to reassure its supporters that the matter is being taken seriously at the highest levels.
